Pro Makeup Artist hits the JACKPOT at Dollar Tree!

Hey Glam Girls,

I picked up a full face of makeup from Dollar Tree to see what’s treasure, what’s trash, and what lands somewhere in between from a makeup artist’s perspective. To see the full video, click here: https://youtu.be/NmwfYog4rRE

Dollar Tree has been around in different forms since the 1950s and has grown into one of the largest discount retailers in North America. The beauty aisle is not just random cheap makeup. Many products end up there because of overstock, discontinued shades, packaging updates, or brands that manufacture at a large scale and need to move excess inventory.

That is why shopping at Dollar Tree makeup feels like a clearance style treasure hunt. Sometimes the formulas are genuinely good, they just did not succeed in traditional retail. Every item in this haul was 1.75 CAD.

Treasures

BPure Blur Face Primer: smoothing, classic silicone primer feel, contains fragrance

Kozmic Colours Eyebrow Liner: great color, glide, and payoff

LA Colors Color Corrector: excellent peach corrector for under eyes

BPure Hydrating Serum Concealer: creamy, covers well, shade range is tricks

La Mercerie Eyeliner: feels like a true drugstore liner, more set leaning than smudgy

LA Colors Blush: velvety texture, blends beautifully

LA Colors Auto Lip Liner: instantly polishes the look

LA Colors Lip Crayon: standout product, comfortable and flattering

Undecided

Kozmic Colours Foundation: better than expected, but shade range is very limited

LA Colors Powder Eyeshadow: soft payoff, fine for everyday but not bold

BPure Lip Gloss: wearable but smells and tastes odd

La Mercerie Hydroglow Setting Spray: nice mist and glow, not meant for heavy hold

Trash

BColor Liquid Bronzer: patchy, dries too fast, odd smell, glittery finish

BPure Brow Gel: overly stiff and sticks

BColor Color Shifting Liquid Eyeshadow: patchy and unflattering

Kozmic Colours Volume Mascara: not volumizing, better options at the drugstore

Dollar Tree makeup is truly hit or miss, but if you treat it like a beauty treasure hunt, there are absolutely some gems worth grabbing. Let me know what items you can’t live without from the Dollar Tree!

Stay Glam,

Gabi
