How to Contour to Look Younger

My Mom is back! She helped me to demonstrate an easy guide on how to contour. Contour can look beautiful on mature skin. The secret is using soft placement and blending for lift, not harsh definition.

Step 1: Prep the Skin
Prep the skin well and apply foundation first. Keep foundation away from the under-eye area to avoid extra creasing.

Step 2 Choosing The Contour
Choose a contour with a slightly warmer tone. This adds natural dimension without making the face look too hollow.

Step 3: Where To Apply
Place contour around the forehead, slightly higher on the cheekbones, along the jawline if needed, and lightly along the nose and under the lower lip.
Step 4: Blending
Blend with a push and sweep motion. Blend upward on the cheeks for lift and downward along the jaw and neck for softness.
Step 5: Add Brightness
Add brightness to the tear trough, outer eye area, center of the forehead, smile line area, and center of the nose to bring fullness and light back to the face.

Step 6: Set With Powder
Set lightly with powder by pressing it into areas that crease, rather than sweeping it over the skin.

Step 7: Add Blush
Apply blush on the cheeks and blend upward for a fresh, youthful pop of color.
